FSSAI Registration

Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) is an autonomous body established under the Ministry of Health Family Welfare, Government of India. The FSSAI has been established under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006. FSSAI is responsible for protecting and promoting public health through the regulation and supervision of food safety.

Who needs FSSAI Registration:

• All food businesses – manufacturers, processors, storage, distribution, importers, retailers
• Petty food retailers and hawkers
• Hotels, restaurants, caterers, canteens

Documents Required:

• Identity proof of proprietor/partners/directors
• Proof of business address
• List of food products to be manufactured/sold
• Certificate of incorporation / partnership deed
• NOC from municipality or panchayat (if required)
• Passport size photograph
