FSSAI Registration

Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) is an autonomous body established under the Ministry of Health Family Welfare, Government of India. The FSSAI has been established under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, which is a consolidating statute related to food safety and regulation in India. FSSAI is responsible for protecting and promoting public health through the regulation and supervision of food safety.
FSSAI Registration:
It is mandatory for the following individuals or entities to obtain FSSAI Registration or License as per the rules and regulation of the Food Safety and Standard Act, 2006:

  • All types of Food Manufacturer
  • Food Packaging unit
  • Wholesale food business operators
  • Food Traders
  • Online Food Business Operator
  • Caters or Hotel
  • Raw food material suppliers
  • Exporter and Importer of food products
  • Food products Transporter and Distributors
  • Food Product retailers

Documents required for FSSAI Registration:

  • Photo ID of the Food Business Operator.
  • Identity Proof Documents such as Ration Card, Department Issued ID, PAN Card, Passport, Senior
  • Citizen Card, Aadhar Card, Driving License, Voter ID Card.
  • Supporting documents such as No Objection Certificate by Municipality/Panchayat, Health NOC.
